Serious Question

Anyone know of any kind of dream catcher/evil eye trinket that will ward off pesky ghosts? I may or may not have one, but my overactive imagination has assumed the worst. If someone can convince me that a pet rock will make it go away, I'm all ears.

Current Obsession: Typography

Typography is not so much a current obsession of mine, but a life long one. I'm proud to say that if there is a type or font to be replicated on a cake at work, I am the go-to girl to do it. I think it goes hand in hand with my interest in advertising, graphic design, and logos as well. Anyways, I was reading Poppytalk this morning, where I clicked a link to the Uppercase gallery (located in Art Central in Calgary). Lo and behold, I was greeted with what was being called 'typewriter week'. Hello!

From there, I clicked on a link to the Lapel Projects where I found all sorts of wonderful texts and book layouts. I especially love their description in the 'about' section. So perfect! And look what else I found! :

Stephanie Metz's latest sculptures attempt to recreate--in felted wool--the skulls of teddybears. I love how morbid the teddybear becomes, it's very Nightmare Before Christmas.

I'm not a big jewelry person. I have one tiny gold Me&Ro necklace which I wear almost daily and a large silver ring which I wear maybe once a month. I definitely love this little necklace though, if only for the fact that it is named the 'Inspector Closeau'. Alas, it's $190.00!
