Street Style Look of the Day

I like how she turned an otherwise typical summer outfit into a statement by adding that crazy neon bag.

Salt n' Pepa

I can't explain it, but I love weird crap like this. These are vintage salt and pepper shakers. Get the dapper pigs HERE and the deer HERE.

Paint it Black

I have a new found respect for people who manage to update their blogs on a regular basis. Believe it or not, it is near impossible to come up with at least one piece of interesting information per day. Nor does it help when your computer decides to be a bitch and shut down everytime you open Itunes and Firefox at the same time.

Whether or not today's ''piece of information'' is interesting or not is debatable. Regardless, here is a list of things I want badly:
These jeans are from Swedish label POUR. I love the wax finish on them. They remind me of a pair of Club Monaco jeans I wore to the ground years ago.THESE I love.

And finally, this awesome jacket by Won Hundred (available HERE):

Total cost of all three items:

A mere $828 before taxes and shipping. Pocket change!!

LOVE

My mother (and sisters, and friends...) would cringe if I defaced a rug like this, but I'm definitely going to. Both rug and couch designed by Bertjan Pot.

But where are the windmills?

Apparently, these are tulip fields in the Netherlands. Aren't they amazing? I think I'd like the Canadian prairies a lot more if they looked like this.

Artist I Like

I realize I haven't posted anything for over a week but I've been low on ideas and high on stress. I promise to try harder, though. And, just in case I haven't offended all of the animal lovers out there, my first post back will feature yet more dead animals. I swear I don't do this on purpose!

These installations were made by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan. I love how refreshingly unpolitically correct he is. He once stole the entire contents of a local gallery and then presented the pieces as his own work at another under the title Another Fucking Readymade. On other occasions, he has sold his gallery space to advertising companies or exhibited a doctor's note as an excuse for not producing an actual piece of art. And then there are the actual installations, which are just as, if not more, provocative...

EYE CANDY

Lo and behold, somebody reads this thing! Such is my charisma and writing aptitude that my posts have garnered two whole comments. Success! Anyways, so it turns out commenter no.1 has a blog, and it's totally addictive. Photographs of cool people in cool clothes, as well as all of the season's most covetable it-shoes in action. Total eye candy.

THE WHITE RABBIT

Although my favourite Alice in Wonderland character has always been the Cheshire Cat, I must admit I've recently gone bonkers for rabbits. Specifically, white rabbits. Preferably magical. I think it all started when I saw Polly Morgan's impossibly adorable dead rabbit on a top hat. Since then I seem to be drawn to anything rabbit-related. On a side note, for being such a lover of animals and also a former vegetarian, I think I may have an unhealthy obsession with taxidermy.

Here are some of Polly Morgan's oddly moving pieces:

Lust at first sight

So I am currently obsessed with all things clear. A few of my favourites include this "magic" table by John Brauer for Essey:

The uber cool ghost candelabra by Jon Russel for Innermost, which comes in different colours, including this awesome greenish yellow one:

The ghost chair. Of course I can't die happy until I own one of these bad boys:

And since that will never happen, I'll make do with the affordable and cute home and travel accessories from Muji:
